Tea Pavilion

Popular in parks and seaside resorts along promenades and piers. The tea pavilion shown in two episodes of Foyle's War is actually filmed around Eastbourne Bandstand. (see locations)

Thiersch Graft

A method of split skin grafting using epidermis and a portion of the dermis. The procedure was named for Karl Thiersch (1822-1895), a German surgeon, who introduced split-skin grafting in 1874.

Trocar

A medical instrument consisting of a sharply pointed shaft, usually with a three-sided point. A trocar may be used within a cannula, a hollow tube, designed to be inserted into a vein, artery, bone marrow or body cavity. The word trocar is derived from the French "trois" (three) + "carre" (side). The instrument is used in human medicine as well as veterinary medicine.
